Jerez Texas / L'empreinte digitale / Resistencia 2005 / CD
Description
Saó, in Valencian, means land prepared for sowing. Behind the poetry of the word, perfectly suited to the melodies of Jerez-Texas, hides a beautiful image: the fertile land is full of promise, like the record you hold in your hands for the first time. The trio has already revealed on stage the seductive power of their music which, it is not so common, commands respect while creating smiles. With Saó, Jerez-Texas has explored other territories of its universe. The improvisations where jazz surfaces always intertwine on flamenco rhythms, but the three musicians, surrounded for the occasion by a few accomplices, have traded the energy delivered live for more silky arrangements, with subtle moires and golden reflections. It is the color of wheat when the harvest is good.
